Don’t Flirt With The Devil

Don’t Flirt With The Devil

I am sure the word ‘Flirt” rings a bell.

As a married couple, you don’t want to play with such word not to talk of having any thing to do with it.

We certainly don’t want our spouse flirting with any other person.

Flirting is a serious issue, even though it may begin innocently.

You are used to flirting, either in words or actions you should please desist from such before it gets out of hands.

The danger there is that when you train yourself to be a flirt, you stand the chance of being caught in the web.

It becomes a full blown adulterous relationship.

Which is the beginning of problems and trouble.

Flirting is simply described as ‘to talk with teasing affection, to insinuate sexual attraction in a playful way especially in a conversation’.

But my focus today is not the harm in flirting as couples.

There is a more dangerous type of flirting which is flirting with the devil.

You might be wondering, Can I flirt with the devil?

We flirt with the devil in our minds when we cooperate with him.

With his suggestions, opinions and ideas.

When we decide to take a coffee with Mr self pity and hang out with him.

Whenever we choose to walk in the flesh rather than obey God and the prompting of the Holy Spirit, its like flirting with the devil.

Gal 5:15-17(AMP)if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

The bible tells us to resist the devil and he will flee from us, but we have to first submit to God.

Jam 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

So when the devil comes tempting you to yield the flesh and fall in various sin, learn to resist him.

Be determined to stay in the will of God for your life.

The devil is not to hand around or play with.

The devil is a destroyer.

Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

May the devil not steal

God bless your marriage
