Dear Ladies, It’s Time To Arise And Shine

Dear Ladies, It’s Time To Arise And Shine

I want to speak to the ladies this morning. I want to address our women. I have a word for the female gender.

Gone are the days when it was fashionable only for men to be breadwinners. These days, women are not only breadwinners; they also provide tea and butter… lol

As a lady, ensure you are not disadvantaged in any way. It’s gross irresponsibility to be idle and expect a man to foot your bills, just because he fell in love with you.

Some marriages are frustrated because the man’s income alone cannot sustain the family. Dear KHC sisters, don’t add to that statistics.

As a woman, you can be independent.
As a woman, you can make your own money.
As a woman, you can work with your hands.

Don’t belong to the class of those who believe men alone should provide everything needed in the home. Things have changed. People are wiser. Flow with the tide, as long as it doesn’t contradict your belief system which I believe are godly.

Ruth 2:2 KJV And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.

Here was Ruth, who decided to go to the filed. It means she went out job hunting. There is no law that says a man’s job is to provide the money while a woman’s job is to provide the babies. It will surprise you to know that there are still some people who think that way in this time and age.

There are men who will not allow their wives take up a job that pays higher than theirs, just because he is the head and the head has to earn more. That is both wickedness and witchcraft in display. If you are engaged to such a man, seek counsel early.

As a lady, you should have something you are doing even before marriage. This does not exonerate the male gender or license them to be lazy. It also does not mean the leadership of the home is to be turned around. The scripture is clear on that.

In the Sixties down to the Eighties, majority of mothers in this part of the country were full time housewives, yet they had what we now call “side-hustle”. A woman had something she was doing that could bring some cash home. She could bake, sew, make cardigans etc, despite being uneducated.

With or without your education, you don’t have to sit in your house, doing nothing while waiting for your king to come. No ma! Ruth found her king on the field, not in the house. Some ladies don’t even have a first degree. You think education is overrated right?

While waiting for that result, while waiting on God for the next phase, while thinking of what else to do, go and volunteer at your local assembly.

Move closer to that woman you so admire and understudy her. Go to that dream company of yours, or a prototype of it and observe how things are done.

Get to the fields. Get your hands on the plough. Do something productive with your singleness, for a time cometh when you will ‘find no pleasure in them’

Have a nice weekend.
