Handling Misunderstandings in Courtship

Handling Misunderstandings in Courtship

Today, I’ll love to focus my attention on those in a relationship or courting towards marriage.

As a rule, always try to settle misunderstandings before the next day.

Recently, I have been seeing many articles on a spouse dying because the other person was keeping malice and refused to answer.
Whatever you imbibe now is what would play out in your marriage.

In one of the articles I read, the couple had an argument and went to bed without settling it. The wife who is asthmatic, had a crises in the middle of the night. She tried waking the husband up to help her, but he refused to answer. Eventually, the wife died there on the bed and that was the end.
What a loss!

Don’t give the devil a room in your courtship.
Be the matured one.
Always try to outdo each other when it comes to forgiveness.
Marriage is not a competition, it’s best done when you work together with your partner, so start learning now.

I also read somewhere that marriage is the union of two great people who forgive.
Don’t just forgive, but forgive early.

In Mat 18:22 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Peter asked Jesus how many times we should forgive those that offend us.
Jesus answered 70×7times. = 490.

Let’s even count it. Can you exhaust 490 times?
Even if you exhaust it, you still continue!

If you have the Holy spirit in you, it will be easier for you because you cannot pray conveniently when still holding grudges with somebody. You cannot!
It would not just feel right.
And if you can, then you need to check yourself well.

The bible also says in

Mark 11:25 KJV
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

If you are praying and holding grudges against anybody, stop the prayer, go and settle whatever you have.
If not, your heavenly father will also not forgive you and your prayers won’t be answered.

One more scripture;

1Pe 3:7 KJV
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

So we need to be careful. Both Male and female.

Now Guess what?
You and your partner will have arguments more than you plan for, because he or she is the closest to you. They will tend to hurt you the more.
So you need to plan to forgive ahead of whatever thing they do.

Don’t get annoyed easily over little things.
Overlook many things.
Let the Love you have for them make you forgive them.
Forgive, so that your Father in heaven can forgive you.

Come to think of it; “If Jesus can forgive you, who are you not to forgive”?

God will help us all.

I will forgive my partner easily.

Father, pls give me the grace to forgive easily.

If Jesus can forgive you, who are you not to forgive?

Settle all grudges and malice you have with anyone TODAY.
