Life Does Not End After Wedding

Life Does Not End After Wedding

Ever seen or heard of people who relax after wedding?

Many people tend to be carried away by activities such as caring for spouse, hustling to provide for the family, taking care of the children and lose themselves in the process. This ought not to be!

That is why this morning, I want to encourage you to not be a stranger to yourself while trying to keep your home. Marriage is supposed to reveal more of yourself to you and not the other way round.

The fact is when we lose ourselves, we lose others. You can’t effectively play your role in that marriage if you are not sane enough.

What is your purpose? What do you have passion for? How is your relationship with your first love (God)? How often do you communicate with the Holy Spirit?

When you are in love with God’s Word and will, He will lead you every step of the way and that includes the smooth running of your home.
Don’t leave God out of your matter because He truly matters and should not be sidelined.

How do you stay sane in all of these busyness of the world out there?

1. Be fervent in God.
Don’t ever miss your quiet time, that is where we dig out the strength from. Keep the communication lines with God open always.

Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it” (Psalm 127:1).

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:6).

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7)

2. Invest and explore your purpose and passion.
Be relevant and stay relevant. Life makes more sense when you know you are meeting a need and providing a solution somewhere. There is a unique feeling that comes with that.

Imagine if those we now look up to their marriage, like Pastors Dunamis and Sophia, are not focused on their purpose, you won’t be reading what you are reading right now.

3. Create a workable routine.
How do you want to start and end your day daily? How did you want the day to go? How much time are you dedicating to what? Take your notepad and write this out and try as much as possible to stick to it. (Proverbs 31:10-31)

4. Be in the company of people that push you to be a better spouse and parent.

Don’t stay where there is bad energy.

Above all, the Bible is the ultimate manual for life and marriage. It contains all there is to life.
The Lord will give us understanding (Amen)

Good morning!

I acknowledge God to be my Source, I remain sane in Him.

Lord, help me to pursue peace with You and myself above all things

The heart of her husband safely trusts her. … She does him good and not evil all the days of her life” (Proverbs 31:11-12).

Take some time out today to write your morning and evening routines
