Now That Valentine Is Past

Now That Valentine Is Past

So Valentine is over.
The air is clear now.
We can now breathe freely.

All the mushy mushy feelings are gone.
The butterflies have stopped flapping their wings.
All the “buy one, get one free” promo has come to an end.

The rush of adrenaline has been reduced.
The pressure has stopped.

For some, it was a moment of Bliss.
A moment of Joy
A moment of communication of true love.

For some, it was a moment of pain.
The agony will last for weeks, if not years.

For those who had a nice time with bae/boo…
Love is not a once and for all thing
Its a continuous process, hence you mustn’t wait till next Valentine before you shower him/her such amount of love like you did yesterday.

For those who had no one to be their Valentine…
Song of Solomon 2:4 (KJV)  He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love

Yes, God’s banner over you is love.
God is and remains your first love.
Don’t feel bad or unfortunate.
You are not in any way disadvantaged.

For those who had their relationships broken on Val day, because you refused to compromise…

Hebrews 10:36 (KJV)  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

You have done the will of God, be rest assured that the promise of your bae/boo is coming.
God’s word cannot fall to the ground.
Stay with it.

For those who had their innocence stolen on Val day.
For those who traded God’s life long gift for 5 minutes of pleasure.
For those who feel used and dumped right now…
Yes, you’ve made a mistake, but here is God’s word to you.

John 8:11 (KJV)  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Read the last part again.

Go and sin no more.God does not condemn the sinner,
but will not condone sin as well

Be blessed

I do not move with the bandwagon

Lord, help me to experience your love

1 John 3:1 (KJV) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Take a sincere inventory of how you spent your Valentine’s day

Amen! I needed to hear this. I managed to get through the entire day without feeling any sort of loneliness feeling, I had plans to hang with a girl friend of mine after work, until she abruptly got sick and couldn’t make it. So I decided to buy cake and share it with my mom and I decided to buy her flowers last minute. I also initiated valentines texts to my friends, most of whom are either married, engaged, or dating someone. Well, this is why social media should not be part of any single’s person’s valentine day if the topic of love & singleness is sensitive to you, because I ended up shedding tears at the end of the night lol after a friend told me in a weird way that she’s pregnant, and she just got married. I felt guilty because I am indeed happy for her, and for all my friends who are in their relationships & got to share the day with their significant other, but I just broke down. After keeping a strong face the whole day, I just cried. Lord, please continue to remind me/us that you are our first love and will always be. Remind us that your love is enough for us. Please help us take heart and believe no matter what that our heart’s desires for love and companionship and having a future family one day will happen the way you want it to. It’s hard for me because I have only 1 single friend left and she lives far away and has her own single friends she hangs with. So yes it can get lonely at times. Ive been trying to do this new thing do take myself out every now and then, but the thought still lingers in my mind and the feeling is in my heart at times. Lord, give my/our hearts’ patience. Remind me/us in your time, in your will, not mine. To not compare ourselves subconsciously or consciously with our peers. Help us/me lord. In Jesus Name, Amen! 🙏🏽🥺😞
