The Election After The Election

The Election After The Election

The Election is come and gone.

As at the time of this writing, the winner has not been declared.

In some hours we will know.

But quickly this morning, I want to write about the election after the election.

After this election, after the winner is declared, there remains yet another election.

In this election, you are the major aspirant.

Your works are the electorate.

Your works will vote for you.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15 (KJV)
Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  [14]  If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  [15]  If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

There is no opposition, except for your works as well.

This one won’t be #NigeriaDecides, It would be #GodDecides

He would look at those works, and fire would come forth form His eyes to try the works!

INEC will be inconsequential here. God is the INEC.

2 Peter 1:10 (MKJV)
Therefore, brothers, rather be diligent to make your calling and ELECTION sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall.

You are the one that will make your election sure.

There will be no rigging, no vote buying, and no ballot boxes to snatch.

There will be no thugs to use, there will be no violence.

EFFC will not be there. The army won’t be there. You will there.

Your votes will be complete, collation will be perfect.

Each day you lived on earth will be prominently observed.

Your whole life will zoom past you, every event will be replayed, and what you voted for and who you voted for in your decisions everyday
will translate into the votes that will either make or mar.

Not one jot will be ignored.

Every idle word spoken will be taken into account.

Every heart you break consciously and unconsciously will be examined.

Some deeds would have gone into oblivion, completely handled and wiped away by the blood of Jesus that not even God can remember again. God truly forgives and forgets sins confessed that you don’t habitually go back into.

Hebrews 10:17 (KJV)
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

In The Message Translation:
Hebrews 10:17 (MSG)  He concludes, I’ll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins.

But unconfessed sins will rise up like menacing monsters.

Those will be votes that will count against one. That will not be your portion in Jesus name.

May the votes count and make you a winner in the last day.

Before that day comes, take the advice above to make your election sure.

Let me conclude by quoting that verse in The Message Translation:

2 Peter 1:10 (MSG)
So, friends, confirm God’s invitation to you, his choice of you. Don’t put it off; do it now. Do this, and you’ll have your life on a firm footing,
Respond to God’s invitation.

Decide to live for God. In your relationships and in every other areas of your life.

Make up your mind today. Cooperate with God.

Notice it says you make your election sure by “doing these things”

So, there are things to do. There are things to stop doing.

Take a deep look into your habits and deeds. Examine them deeply and let go of all vices.

Connect with His grace to live right

I pray, may you receive help in every area where you need Him in Jesus name

You will succeed here on earth and in the last day, you will not be found wanting!

Heaven will assist you, favour will speak for you and grace will engrace your race!

Your relationship is blessed!

God bless you and yours
