The Grateful Couple Challenge

Recently, I was watching a show on the TV of five friends who engage in a sort of daily challenge where everyone took turns to say things they were grateful for each day.
This went on for months and each of these people became better than who they were before the challenge started.

I was endeared to this and made it a daily habit which I want to extend to you, dear readers, today.

Do you spend your time daily overwhelmed by activities and your life seems clogged out or you end the day fulfilled?
Are things looking somewhat hard and not working out or things seem to be going so smoothly for you?
What is the state of your marriage? Do you have something(s) you admire about your spouse?

Whatever the state of things with you, today, I bring you “The Grateful Couple Challenge”

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV)

What is The Grateful Couple Challenge?

This challenge is a medium by which couples come together daily at a time convenient for both and say things they are grateful for for that day.
It does not stop at being grateful for self, it may extend to spouse, children, family, friends etc.

The crux of the matter is to make your spouse a part of your Grateful Circle. Both of you must come together at a specific period of the day which must be convenient for you both and just say things you are grateful for.

Why should I be grateful?

1. It is a good thing

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High (Psalms 92:1 KJV)

Being grateful is an honorary thing to do. It makes you acknowledge that there is a Greater Person in charge and makes that you are not alone in the journey.

2. It gives you a feeling of satisfaction on other things you are looking forward to have.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
(Psalms 118:1 KJV)

You are assured of God’s mercy that is available to you in abundance.

3. It gives you a more positive outlook in life.
Knowing you must have something to be thankful to God for on a daily basis will make you more optimistic and also much more productive.
This will help get rid of negative vibes as well as being envious of another person.

4. It fosters the bond between couple.
Being grateful enables you to travel through the eye of your partner which is your husband or wife in this case.
You are able to hear him or her out and allow him to express himself or herself without hitch.

All these and many more are the amazing benefits of this challenge.

Therefore, I will enjoy couples to participate in this for a week or make it a daily habit in your home and you will see yourselves better for it.

I believe these points have been able to help you add some spice to your marriage.

Until you read from me again.
Keep flourishing in your marriage.

God bless you.

I thank God for my life and that of my God-giving spouse.

Reflect on what God has done for you in recent times and thank Him for it (Amen)

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV)
