The Trip To The Well

The Trip To The Well

Life happens to every one of us.
The woman of Samaria could have written a billion memoirs about her life experiences, she most likely would have been the best selling author of A LIFE OF MISHAPS.

Life had showed her the ugly side of its double face, she had been to hell and back; failed relationships, failed marriage, stigma in the society, having to put up with someone she wasn’t sure had made up his mind to be with her, you name it.

She was more or less troubled on every side, distressed, perplexed, in despair, persecuted, forsaken and cast down. She had seen it all.

Little did she know that her life was set to make a turn around. She peradventure had given up. The earth underneath her had been too cracked to afford her a balance.

Ever noticed that Jesus was always on the move. Hardly was it recorded that he was found in his earthly parent’s home. He must have been called a “waka about” or “Ajala of the first century”, lol. One of his travels would involved passing through Samaria.

Graciously, while the earth was formed, our blessed father ensured that the roads will someday bring a broken woman and the messiah together.

Who would have thought that the compulsory route of Samaria linking Judea and Galilee will one day bless a soul?

This story shows how well crafted the earth is and how intentional the actions of God are, even as much as placing cities side by side. Little wonder he knew the exact place and time to meet with her.

In it real sense, we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, we’re not sure what to do, we’ve been spiritually terrorized, we’ve been thrown down, while we’re going through the worst, you’re getting in on the best!

We’re not demoralized, we haven’t been broken, we know that God knows what to do. God hasn’t left our side and all this is true because he will surely make that trip to meet us by the well.

Shall we then raise our glasses to our very own, saving lives since the 1st century, the traveller of all times, the life changing WAKADUGBO, Precious Jesus!

I may be pressured in every way but not crushed.

Lord, meet me by my well.

He will surely pay me a visit

Have a time out with God.

JOHN 4: 3- 42
