Three Secrets That Keep Couples Bonded – Part 3

Three Secrets That Keep Couples Bonded – Part 3

This is the final part of this topic, thankfully.

For all our devotionals, I will suggest you read meditatively to benefit from them.

I believe God is sending these devotionals to us everyday for the purpose of building our homes and improving the quality of life we live as married couples.

Some people’s marriages are a mess. Some have gone too far apart that unless God steps in, divorce is just the only option.

Be a media evangelist for God today and invite your friends, colleagues at work, neighbours, acquaintances to and let God do the rest.

To today’s topic and the concluding part of our topic.

Our anchor scripture still remains

Gen 2:24 CEV
That’s why a man will leave his own father and mother. He marries a woman, and the two of them become like one person.

We have been able to identify 3 secrets that can help keep couples bonded together.

  1. Proximity
  2. Jeru trip
  3. Food.

They all look simple but they are all powerful.

Do you know that there is a connection between the mouth and the heart? What we put in our mouths and what happens to our heart.

Important meetings are done over lunch or dinner.

Food is so important, it sustains life.

Man can survive without love but can’t survive without food.

If food is that important, we need to pay close attention to it. Especially we wives.
It is as if God has left us with a powerful weapon in our hands.

Wives are to submit and it looks like we are helpless but we are not, we have a weapon to use in our hands which is food.

Am I asking us to join the women movement, which declares that women’s place is not in the kitchen and the man too should go to the kitchen as much as women?

Of course not. I believe the role of women is mostly that of the kitchen. We should accept our roles joyfully and be good at it.

Of course, our husbands can help us a times with cooking, that’s an added advantage. Just as we assist with bringing money home.

Food has a spiritual under tone, too.
People can access someone’s life through food, they can even poison the person through food.

When you are homely and cook nice and different dishes for your husband, you secure your home and marriage.

Husbands have been snatched through food by ladies who know how to cook and set the food they cook.

It is true that the way into a man’s heart is through food.

If you cook your husband’s food and do it with the understanding that you are in your ministry and you do it with class and dignity, your husband’s heart will always be towards you.

Most women cook but they present the food with a negative attitude of “I have been cooking since and he sits down to eat, that is not fair”.

This kind of attitude will steal the power in your food.

Let’s talk about how the food is presented.

If you go through all the efforts of spending hours cooking but give your husband the food as if you are serving a house boy, the power and grace in your cooking is lost.

You present your food to your husband as a service unto God. As if you are serving the King. With this, it is accompanied with Gods blessing and power and grace.

You also have the opportunity of releasing Gods blessing and praying over his food while cooking it.

If this can be done with diabolical people, believers can do the same.

If your husband is behaving somehow and not loving you as he ought, pray for him into the food he will eat. God will step in and answer your prayers.

For those who have people staying with them, don’t abandon the food your husband will eat solely into the hands of helps.

If they must help out, please you do the serving. Serve your husband’s food and stay with him while eating and eat together.

As you begin to take charge and strive towards getting bonded with your spouse, God will intervene and step in.

God bless our marriage in Jesus name.

I receive grace not to be careless when it comes to food for my spouse and children.

Lord, help me to pay close attention to my spouse and what he eats.

I will try to cook or at least serve food for my husband

Gen 2:24 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
