It was a wonderful and powerful time in God’s presence yesterday as Rev Dunamis continued his teaching about birthing your destiny.
One of the things that caught my attention was the scripture that says
The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 AMP)
Another translation says:
God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change. (2 Peter 3:9 MSG)
It’s common place for man to think sometimes that God is slow.
That’s why some of our movies give us the impression that when a man wants to be rich, he can get rich overnight by diabolical means, but when a man passes the right way – through God, it’s slow.
Well this morning, I want to assure you and remind you from God’s own word that He is not slow.
What is that promise, what are those things you’re believing Him for? What is your hearts cry?
What are those promises from God that you’ve received either through your personal study of the word or when it was taught?
Scriptures says God is not late, He doesn’t delay. This is because He loves us. He wants us to have the very best.
God is ALWAYS on time.
I’m sure we all remember the story of Lazarus. When Jesus got to his place, everyone, even his disciples had the impression that Jesus was late because Lazarus was already dead.
They thought all hope was lost!
Lazarus had already been buried!
The tomb had been sealed!
They had totally given up!
It was like there was no way forward!
But Jesus stepped into the scene, and that was the game changer.
When He comes in, He brings hope where it seems all hope is lost.
He makes a way where there seems to be no way.
He opens everything that seems to be sealed up or closed.
And most importantly, He always does this ON TIME.
God’s concept of timing and ours can be very different. Everybody’s impression was that Jesus was four days late, but really He was on time.
Get into the word, fellowship and spend time with him, this is how you’ll be able to have an idea of times and seasons God has planned for you, because the Holy Spirit will often reveal these things to us, but won’t be able to if we don’t spend time with him.
Lastly, I’d like to say, God loves us and is in a hurry to bless us. But because He loves us and doesn’t want us to perish or get lost, He won’t give us some things especially those we are not ready for.
God won’t give a man riches, if riches is what will take that man away from spending time with him.
God won’t give you a spouse if you’ve not learnt to deal with your anger problems.
By His help, get rid of everything that will slow you down.
May God grant us more understanding in the name of Jesus.
Have a blessed week
