A group of young people were having a discussion and one of them said ‘I am done with this relationship and marriage thing sef… Maybe it isn’t meant for me’.
Another one said ‘I think God just decides who He wants married or not. Let me just have a baby daddy and I am OK’.
Proverbs 23:18 (AMP) says For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.
That one thing that God will never do is to disappoint His children. There is never a man who is on God’s side who can say God has disappointed him or her. See, God knows you have needs, He knows you have expectations…
For instance, people are expected to get married at a certain stage of their lives. So that it is not happening now does not mean it will never happen.
Psalms 138:2 (NLT)… I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.
Now the question is are you a child of God? The above passage says ALL of God’s promises are backed up by the honour of His name. Meaning if you want to be sure of results, it has to be on the basis of God’s promises alone. And how do you know His promises? It is through his WORD!
Job 33:8 (NLT) “You have spoken in my hearing, and I have heard your very words.
One of God’s weakest points is speaking His own words back to Him. He can’t resist it. That husband is in the word. That wife is in the word. Those children are in the word. That job/promotion is in the word. That house or ministry is in the word.
Numbers 14:28 (NLT) says Now tell them this: ‘As surely as I live, declares the lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say.
The only wicked thing you will therefore do to yourself is not to allow the word of God dwell in you richly.
Don’t let the devil cheat you. Even if it doesn’t look like it, keep saying those words.
Go back to those things God had told you in the secret place.
Hold Him by His word!
However like I said, it is only children that can accurately say their Father’s words. Are you truly a child in the kingdom or you have grown wings?
